Who we are

Habit Layer helps clinical care survive contact with daily life.

We partner with healthcare clinics to provide between-visit support that helps patients turn care plans into routines that actually stick, without adding more work for providers. Our role isn’t to diagnose or treat. It’s to help people integrate what happens in the clinic into real life, where stress, schedules, and friction usually derail progress.

Our coaching is grounded in evidence-based NBHWC methodologies, including Motivational Interviewing, values-based goal setting, behavior change theory, self-efficacy building, and accountability through reflective check-ins. Sessions are collaborative, practical, and focused on helping patients follow through, not overwhelming them with information or tasks.

We emphasize habit stacking and environmental design—anchoring small, supportive behaviors to routines patients already have—so change feels doable and sustainable. Instead of asking patients to “do more,” we help them do what matters more consistently.

Habit Layer is designed to fit cleanly into existing clinical workflows. Providers hand off patients to us with context; we take it from there. No extra documentation, no added appointments, no disruption to clinic flow. Patients experience Habit Layer as part of their care plan, not an upsell or separate service.

At its core, Habit Layer exists to protect the value of care. We help patients build the daily habits that allow treatment to hold, improvements to compound, and clinics to see better long-term outcomes (without increasing provider burden).
